Privacy policy

The short version: your images and videos never leave your device. Swoopfolio renders and encodes everything inside your browser. There are no accounts, no cookies and no advertising trackers. We collect anonymous usage counts and error reports so we can improve the product, and nothing else.

Your media and projects
The images and video clips you add are read by your browser and stay on your device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. Your current project (your media, chosen template and settings) is saved in your browser's own storage so it is still there next time. Clearing your browser's site data removes it. We cannot see it or recover it.
Anonymous usage counts
We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool that we host ourselves. It sets no cookies and does not identify you or follow you across sites. It records:
- pages visited, the site that referred you, and your browser, operating system, device type and country (worked out from your IP address, which is not stored);
- product events: when an export finishes (the template, file type, resolution and format used), when an export fails (the type of error only), and whether your browser can export video or show 3D graphics.
None of your media, file names or project content is ever included.
Error reports
When something breaks, the app sends an error report to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), stored in its EU data region. A report contains the error message and where in our code it happened, your browser and operating system versions, and the page address. It does not include your media, your IP address or anything that identifies you. We use these reports only to find and fix bugs.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP address and browser) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Fonts are served from our own domain.
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply to you.
Your choices and rights
Because there are no accounts and we hold no personal profile, there is very little about you to access or delete. You can block analytics and error reports with any content blocker and the studio keeps working. For any privacy request, or if you have questions under the GDPR, the Nigeria Data Protection Act or similar laws, email [email protected].

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
